In celebration of Earthweek, D.L. Price is sharing a glipse into the world of Trahe.

THE TRAHE CHRONICLES: BOOK ONE

THE CHOSEN ONES

By D.L. Price

In the beginning, all was created, including many galaxies of stars and planets. The Creator of the universe formed the planet Trahe. On this planet, he created numerous living species, including seven tribes of two-legged creatures.

Evadeam was the first of the seven tribes, and its members were given the responsibility of recording the history of their planet Trahe. Their writings were known as the Trahe Chronicles.

As recorded, peace and harmony reigned for the first one thousand years of the new planet. But as history patterns of Trahe’s sister planets revealed, evil transpired. The Creator wept as Trahe was embraced by sin. The Creator’s tears caused nature’s fury, and the planet was gripped by natural disasters. Howling winds, thundering rains, screaming squalls, blizzards, and thrashing waters ravaged Trahe. But small voices broke through the pounding storms. They begged for the Creator to stop, to help, and to forgive. The Creator remembered forgiveness and listened.

The swampy everglades quickly turned into taller green foliage. The pegasi had to fly higher to avoid the larger trees. As Diana looked down, she saw more and more willow trees, and the farther they flew, the larger the willows became. Pegasi began to fly upward to clear a huge forest of trees. The forest was thick. It was hard to tell where one tree ended and another one began. After what seemed like only a short time, the pegasi carefully started to fly downward. Diana held on tighter to the saddle horn. “Brooke, I think we are going to crash right into the trees.”

As they approached the tree, branches opened in the middle, and Midnight flew up into the opening. A soft light came from above and guided them to the middle of the tree. The branches became thinner, and Diana’s mouth dropped as she saw what was in front of her.

It was a wooded city made out of the willow tree’s branches and roots. It reminded her of a very large tree-house city. It was incredible. One by one, the pegasi landed on the forest floor in the middle of the willow tree city.
